Mike is quoting technically what the rule states but if no one complains no foul no harm...I used to shoot at hawleys pub a couple years ago and they would have same set up.. the side door was 3 ft from the pool table as my opponent was taking is turn at the table i would be at side door. when he missed i immediately went to table..we have never had a issue during that time. but mike is right if someone were to complain technically they could screw you

Five-time World Pocket Billiards Champion, Mike Sigel, will be conducting a 9-ball clinic at Champion Billiards and Sports Café in Frederick, Maryland on Sunday, March 14th.

This seminar is intended as a workshop for intermediate to advanced pool players. The seminar will cover all of the major aspects of 9-ball such as breaking, position play, ball speed, defensive shots and strategy. In addition, Mike is available to answer questions on 8-ball or evaluate a player’s form and stroke. The cost for this seminar is $70 per person and is limited to the first 10 people who register.

Mike Sigel has won more than 106 major pool tournaments including three U.S. Open 9-ball Championships, three U.S. Open Straight Pool Championships and five World Pocket Billiards Championship titles. Sigel played himself in the movie, “The Baltimore Bullet,” and was technical advisor to Paul Newman and Tom Cruise in the Academy Award-winning movie “The Color of Money.” In 1989, at age 35, Sigel became the youngest person inducted into the Billiard Congress of America’s Hall of Fame.
